Actisense was founded in January 1997 by Phil Whitehurst, a certified electronic engineer who understood the need for innovative and reliable electronic instruments for marine use.
Moved by his passion for the sea, Phil understood the potential of the leisure sailing segment was not met by the main marine electronic component manufacturers and therefore decided to start producing and marketing a whole range of high-quality, sophisticated products targeted at the marine market.

Thanks to over 20 years of experience designing DSP software and hardware solutions in the fields of smart sensors and underwater sound propagation, Actisense is currently the market leader in the marine electronics manufacturing space.
